Kenwood Ltd
With approximately 1400 acres, owned and leased, Kenwood grows corn, oats with crimson clover, hay and pasture to feed 850 to 1000 head of cattle. Half of these cattle are dairy animals with 200 mature cows in the milking herd. An Angus beef herd also roams the rolling pastures of Kenwood. This is a third generation family owned farm, focusing on being good stewards of the land and livestock.
Visitors will be given guided tours of the milking parlor and storage facility, nutrition and waste management exhibitions. A popular attraction is the calf barn where visitors can get a close view of the calves. Visitors may also take a hay ride tour of the beef herd with discussion of herd management methods employed to preserve water quality.
Hayride schedule: Hayrides will run continuously throughout the day.
